As calorie is defined as a unit of measurement it has its definition in physical terms “ the amount of heat required for raising temperature of a liter of water one degree “ Being a unit of measurement it measures the energy level through the intake of food, which helps in our day to day activities.
REALITY SHOW: there are people around the world who claim that they can eat as much as they want and later on by single act of sufficient workout like exercise they can burn calories, then we are coming across something which really can’t be. For e.g. people having double cheese pizza of dominos today and working out for it tomorrow might take you more than half a day at gym to undo that small meal. It’s shocking right? But true.
Research says- more calorie we intake only a part of it sheds out in form of day to day activities. It is not always possible to lose through exercise because till the time we do so a layer of fat has already been formed.
How Many Calories Do We Need For Each Day Functioning?
A good way for this is through BMR (basal metabolic rate). It is the rate at which our body burns calories. According to research BMR = 150*10 kcal/lb = 1500. So for losing weight intake of 1500 calories/day is required. Every one’s metabolism works the same way but the rate at which it metabolizes is different to every individual.
People assume that for losing more, more calories should be cut off. But study shows exact opposite. As we weigh now same amount should be consumed and as we lose we should cut more calories. For e.g. a person weighing 200 pounds cannot rely on 1500 cal a day. But if the same continues to loose, he will be able to cut down to that level.
REMEMBER cutting too many calories leads to weight plateaus. So a normal diet of 1200 calories should be taken unless someone is under doctor’s supervision.
So now we know that if we eat more calories or fewer calories than our body requirement our body gets disturb. Having more calories lead to weight gain. E.g. too much intake of sugar helps in weight gain because we are having too much calories. This when exchanged with “good carb” results in fewer calories – and we lose weight

Calorie is not a tangible thing. It is a unit of measurement. For estimating calorie need per day we should consume a particular amount of it, in order to maintain our weights. Simple Benedict formula helps to access our BMR i.e. Basal Metabolic Rate.
BMR amount of energy is that amount which is required for proper functioning of the body out of which 60% is consumed for day to day activities. Apart from this there are other factors which affects BMR position and they are height, weight, sex and age.
Most of us say we have only that food which is oil free or what we watch them as. But do we really do so in reality?? Do we have only what we see written on it??
Study says that we always tend to forget some of our daily bites. Like we remember we had fries on the way back home. But we forget that we had 45 Gms chocolate, an ice cream and few cream pastries before going to bed. Unfortunately these small details make all the difference in life.
We intake more than we really thought of than why not choose a in between road which will help to observe good result in few weeks. So if we are more weight consume lower calories and intake more of nutrients in our meals.
Dieting can be as simple but also a reason why so many of us fail. It’s because we forget the no of times we open our fridge. For this we better put a notepad in front of it and take down the number of times we opened it and times when we consumed something.
This will not only solve the problem of determining the number of calories we consume but also determine the unhealthy pattern of having food.
Counting calories is one of the methods which has not lost its appeal throughout all these years and is one of the oldest methods to lose weight. We all think of consuming lower intakes but are we really doing so?? If not it’s high time now.
Lastly by following this pattern, not only helps in weight loss but also helps to loose unwanted calories which disturbs the” outlook” of an individual.
It’s also important to remember that cutting too many calories leads to weight plateaus. So at least 1200 calories per day is advisable.

The most significant and important trends in weight loss procedure in terms of drug research can be termed as hunger control. Phentermine is a well known weight loss or hunger control products in this area.
Theoretically keeping yourself hungry for more time has a strong biological effect. Whatever we do is mechanically done through the energy balance in our body. So keeping hungry naturally tilts in favor of weight Gain than weight loss. The idea of dealing with hunger boils down our kidney which stops taking in food in long run and destroys our internal body structure.
So in this ARTICLE we will examine the idea of medicating hunger as a weight loss strategy.
Hunger happens for most of us about every 2-4 hours and this actually helps to lower the fat as well as helps to stay fit because eating every 2-4 hours increase “thermo genesis” in our body. And if we want to buy this idea of medicating hunger should not we ask our self what will be the long term effect? If we are planning to medicate hunger we should take serious look to 3 major things- hormonal issues, binge eating vs. true hunger and short term vs. long term.
Research says that binge eating has nothing to do with hunger. It is product of emotional stress and it contributes to abnormal feeding pattern. Our hunger is abnormal as we have seen yet normal hunger pattern helps us to be lean.
By all this one thing comes to our mind that is normal eating pattern really hunger?? Studies say that there’s difference between hunger and cravings for it. Cravings are stimulus and they affect serotonin while acting as opiates. So this is not hunger. It also shows that a high amount of fructose increases circulation of fatty acids in blood which results in lower circulation of leptin. E.g.: sugar makes us abnormally hungry.
But is something missing from medicating hunger as an effective way for loosing weight? Yes
1: hunger is hormonally controlled so short term medication of hunger may have opposite effect over long term
2: most people think skipping food is the only way to weight loss.
Hence the only way to be lean is to follow a simple regime of having balanced sugar together with having something every 2-4 hours. Our approach is healthy, fitness weight loss – what really works over the long haul.

Food labels are also important factors in this respect while selecting good food. So when food labeled like” cracked wheat” or “100% wheat” or “multi grains” are seen anywhere do not go for it because they cannot be termed as whole grain products.
Refined grains are already coated that means it has already added some amount of fat in it. Like double refined soya oil contains more fat than single refined which adds more fat to stick to abdominal region.

There are various kinds of weight loss diets available currently and the ever increasing percentage of the obese population has encouraged the introduction of new diet programs. A common concern regarding weight loss diets is that while these diets ensure loss of weight, they may not give much importance to nutrition intake. As a result while weight loss will be apparent, there will be not enough nutrition intakes within the body which may result in weakness and fatigue and other adverse effects. With respect to such cases, the low carb diet may be regarded as a weight loss diet program which pays a lot of importance over the fact that there is no loss of nutrients from the body. In recent times, researches have revealed that the low carb diet is the most preferred of the weight loss diets and in the United States of America, about 32 million people are followers of the low carb diets. This proves the immense popularity of diet programs like the Atkins diet and the Zone diet which are all low carb diets. The main impetus of these low carb diets is to ensure the intake of considerable proportions of proteins, fats and fibers while carbohydrate intake is severely controlled. This has often given rise to arguments questioning the eradication of carbohydrates immensely from the diet program in the initial stages of this diet. Therefore there are certain steps which may be taken to ensure that good health condition persists while on a low carb diet.
In the primary stages of the low carb diet, intake of fruits and vegetables are highly controlled. But in the later stages, one is encouraged to incorporate more and more fruits and vegetables within the diet as the phytonutrients which are present in the fresh fruits and vegetables play a very significant role in fighting against dreadful diseases like diabetes, cancer and aids in decreasing blood pressure as well. It is also advisable that one should avoid the consumption of high calorie snacks like chips and other rich in carbohydrate food items. This is because these contribute to obesity and can deter the process of weight loss. It is also necessary to keep in mind while taking fats that one must avoid the consumption of saturated fats as they are believed to play a dominant role in the increase of bad cholesterol. On the other hand, one may consume the healthy fats like olive oil and peanut oil and such sources which are not harmful for health while on a low carb diet.

Various factors have contributed to obesity and some of the significant ones include lack of sufficient physical activity in the form of exercises or indulging sports and extremely unhealthy eating habits with high calorie fast foods comprising a major section of one’s meals. It is shocking to note that as time progresses and the human civilization moves towards achieving greater heights in the different fields of activities, obesity is slowly spreading its fangs to reach epidemic proportions an in this bid of its it has not spared children and youngsters. Hence it is evident that obesity today is matter of primary concern and there are several adverse effects that the body may be exposed to as a result of an individual being overweight. Losing weight is a not a difficult proposition in the present world as there a wide variety of weight loss diet programs, pills and supplements available for this purpose. It must be noted that studies have revealed that there is a growing trend that reveals that most individuals prefer the various weight loss supplements or drugs compared to the dieting programs and other variants. A prominent reason in favor of this is that most diet programs require limited food consumption and more often intake of raw food items are mostly permitted which are extremely stale and dull compared to the delicious and tasty fats foods that one is used to and therefore most individuals find it a tough task in case of adhering to such a diet. In such cases the weight loss drugs are preferred immensely as it is believed that these drugs will cause weight loss without any alteration in the diet or lifestyle. Among the different kinds of weight loss drugs, very popular kinds are the anorectics which are appetite suppressant drugs which play a very important role in escalating weight loss. a foremost variant of these appetite suppressant drugs, also referred to as anorectics is sibutramine and it aids in causing weight loss by reducing appetite thus lowering the hunger cravings. As a result the individual is never too hungry and hence food consumption is always low and controlled thus causing weight loss.
While weight loss in these cases is guaranteed, sibutramine has certain side effects like nausea, dizziness and cardiac problems and can also increase one’s appetite considerably. moreover at times, serious conditions such as psychological problems and seizures have also been noted among few sibutramine users.

Weight loss is the reduction of the body mass due to loss of fluids, fats, adipose tissues, and etcetera. This loss can be due to many reasons. Any chronic illness can result in tremendous amount of weight loss, smoking, depression, trauma, tension are also some of the causes. Another very prevalent cause is intentional weight loss. Obesity, peer pressure, heart diseases have given rise to awareness about weight and the related issues amongst the human community
Looking good is the ultimate desire of every living individual. In a world where personalities are judged on the basis of appearances, it is important that everyone strives to be in perfect shape and size. Weight has become an important issue these days, not only to have a perfect body but also to have a healthy body. However, due to same, some misconceptions and wrong ideas have grown widely. More and more people are running after fad diets, slimming pills and potions, spot reduction exercises, and other “magic” cures against obesity and weight issues. It is important that the issue of weight loss is clear from the beginning so that, any wrong action doesn’t lead to health hazard
To start with, the reason behind weight loss must be identified. It is important that one must reduce weight to feel good rather than to just “look good”. A person should reduce weight not because his wife or girl-friend or friends or parents or someone else thinks so but because it is his independent wish. Lack of interest and desire often results in failed attempts. Lack of self-motivation can never lead to success. However, encouragement from friends and family is one of the essential factors behind a successful weight loss program. Thus, primarily, one should be focused enough to change the way he looks and not just decide to lose weight because somebody else feels so.
Another very integral part of a weight loss program or plan is the food chart and the exercise regime. Anyone who wants a long-lasting solution for weight problem must follow a balanced diet along with regular exercise or yoga. Also fattening foods, sugary items, cold drinks must be avoided as much as possible. One thing is very important when weight loss is concerned. It should be kept in mind that weight reduction is a slow and gradual process and its natural mechanism shouldn’t be tampered. If done so serious health problems can arise.
Nevertheless, besides these natural and identifiable reasons behind weight loss, surgeries and operations are also now being done to reduce weight. The success rate for these operations is not 100% but still many people are vouching for the same. However, in this context one thing surely holds well, “slow and steady” surely “wins the race.”
